Giganto is the titular character and a huge Giganotosaurus in Gigantosaurus. Despite his seemingly vicious personality, he often aids the four little dinosaurs in their adventures. Giganto mainly communicates with growls and roars. In "Goodbye, Giganto", the friends discover he can speak! In the 2nd season, he speaks again in Coconuts for Coco-Phones, and Battle of the Titans after the victory against Spino the Spinosaurus.

Appearance & Personality[]

Giganto has amazing strength in his tail swing against Termy into the air traveling few yards away. He proven his roar can be enough to push off adolescent triceratops and its possible he powerful enough to fight off Spino. His strength also shown will not be enough for large meteor on the volcano but thanks to his juveniles friends, they crack it enough for him to shatter it for his tail.

His intelligence is enough to know use ice to cool down the lake from the heat rock, knowing to prevent avalanche and showing some of his little friends ways to work together. Just like any dino can talk, but seems to choose only a few words as he only speaks when needed.

He seems to love to travel around the land of his beloved home possibly for looking for better fruits or keeping eye on his few friends or danger. As it possible he tries to make sure dinosaurs and creatures don't cause problems since he proven try to fix it. He shows to be gardening some trees and keep them safe possible for when reach fully grown. He seems to understand that situations or misunderstanding that young Dino don't understand he tries to show them not interfere or other option might be best such as caterpillars need to to become butterflies, Trey idea for making new river line, don't mess around with Spino, and more like Tiny needs to be lone to handle her issue with being help.

  • Giganto’s appearance is a cross between Godzilla (Same name of the film in 1998) & the V. Rex from King Kong (2005).
  • If you listen carefully in The Big Mean Green, The roar Giganto made was the same sound effect for the T. Rex from the 1999 BBC documentary Walking With Dinosaurs.
  • He's not much of a talker, though in the episode “Goodbye, Giganto! Part 2”, Rocky, Bill, Tiny and Mazu all discover he can talk as he says “You’re welcome” to the four after they all thank him for finding the bag with their favorite stuff.
  • Other than Coconuts for Coco-Phones, Giganto speaks at least once in each season finale.
